This information is for the following Alfa Romeo models and years:
– 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Alfa Romeo 156 2.4 JTD, 1.9 JTD, 2.5 V6, 2.0 JTS, 1.6 Twin Spark.
Fuse box Location and Diagram
1. Fuse Box next to the battery
The main protection fuses of Alfa 156 are in the engine compartment, in a box near the battery positive terminal:
2. Fuse and Relay Box on the dashboard
The fuses for the main devices are in the interior fuse box, under the dashboard, to the left of the steering column.
To gain access to them, remove the panel (A) releasing the tabs (B) in the direction of the arrow below and remove the screw (C).
As pictured lower in the above image, tehere are algo two realys on the top left corner of the fuse box:
A – Dipped beam light relay.
B – Relay for sunroof , seat heater, rear window power control, seat electric adjustment.
Also, there are some spare fuses on the area marked with D.
Above this fuse box there is another fuse box located above it:
3. Other Fuses and Relays in Engine Bay
In the engine compartment, housed on a bracket in front of the battery and protected by a special cover, there is a variable number of fuses and relays depending on the versions.
Remove the cover to gain access to the following relays/fuses:
A. Engine radiator cooling fan 2nd speed
relay (T.SPARK versions).
B. Engine radiator cooling fan 1st speed relay.
C. Fuel pump relay
D. Electronic injection relay
E. Climate control compressor relay
F. Timing variator relay (1.6 T.SPARK only) or engine radiator fan 2nd speed relay (only 2.5 V6 24V, JTD and JTD 16V Multijet versions).
G. Fuel oil heater relay (only Diesel versions).
For JTD 20v Multijet version:

Depending on the options installed, there is a second bracket fastened to the engine compartment rear bulkhead for the following fuses:
A. MAXI-FUSE 30A: additional passenger compartment heater 2nd level relay.
B. MAXI-FUSE 30A: additional passenger compartment heater 1st level relay.
